Qurbani, the Islamic tradition of sacrifice during Dhul Hijjah, symbolises the spirit of giving. Muslims

around the world slaughter an animal – a goat, sheep, cow or camel – to honour Prophet Ibrahim's عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ unwavering faith, symbolising as his willingness to sacrifice his son.

Miseries Around the World!

War, political instability, climate change, and economic collapse are the biggest causes of hunger and malnutrition in Muslim-majority countries. Half of the countries in need of food support are Muslim-majority.

In Somalia, 6.5 million people are facing acute food insecurity, with 2 million in emergency hunger levels, and 1.84 million children facing acute malnutrition. These figures are driven by years of drought, conflict, and ongoing aid shortages.

In Pakistan, 7.5 million people are facing acute food insecurity, with around 21% of the population in crisis. This is compounded by devastating floods, drought, and economic pressures, pushing millions into hunger.

In Niger, more than 3 million people are experiencing acute food insecurity, exacerbated by ongoing conflicts and climate shocks.

Ethiopia remains a major global hunger hotspot, with millions facing food insecurity due to ongoing conflicts and prolonged droughts.

Mali has also been identified as a critical hunger zone, with many people in need of urgent food aid due to economic instability and armed conflict.

In Gaza, over 500,000 people are still in catastrophic hunger conditions, living in famine-level crisis zones due to the ongoing blockade and violence.

This Eid al-Adha, honour the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ and bring hope to our brothers and sisters struggling with hunger. In every country we have mentioned, they need and deserve your Qurbani.
