Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) said: “Give the Sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.”
Allah (swt) says: “Never will you attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love.
And whatever you spend, indeed Allâh is Knowing of it.” [آle-‘Imran, 3:92]
In surah Ma’arij He tells us how we as humans were created impatient and how we love to hoard our wealth and in times of plenty we don’t like to share. Instead Allah (swt) says that success will be for those: “ and who give the rightful share of their wealth, to those who ask and those prevented from asking..” (70:26).
