Although the list of fears is long for a Syrian Refugee, we can help to alleviate a simple one. COLD.
Around nine years into the Syrian conflict, over 660,000 Syrians have officially sought refuge to Jordan. Syrian refugees have self-settled all over Jordan, but mainly in the Northern areas.
Winter in Jordan is very harsh, especially for families who are living in unheated and temporary shelters. Temperatures drop below freezing in many parts of the country bringing further misery and suffering to the refugees living there.
During the winter of 2019/20, Task Force GLM will provide winterisation and food assistance for refugees and vulnerable families as part of an emergency response to the harsh winter conditions.
Each family will be provided with a gas heater, fuel, food parcel, winter clothing, winter blanket, hygiene kit, and a fuel voucher
Your donation will be hand delivered by the Taskforce GLM team this winter in 2019. Every penny of your donation will be spent on the refugees, as every member of the Taskforce team are unpaid volunteers.
