Taskforce GLM

”More than one million people across Lebanon have been displaced by the deadly airstrikes” UN

Lebanon is no stranger to the harsh realities of winter where heavy rains, snow, and thunderstorms can bring nighttime temperatures down to nearly freezing. However, this year, the situation is more dire than ever.

The never-ending nightmare affecting Gaza has now entered Lebanon.

September 2024 has been the deadliest month for Lebanon since the crisis began nearly a year ago. In just a matter of days, over 2,000 people have been killed in airstrikes including 127 children and 261 women.

Just as we stand at the brink of a chilling winter, families are fleeing their homes and in fear of being the next victims. They urgently need shelter, food, and warmth to survive.

From airstrikes hitting medical and residential areas to ground invasions, Lebanon has been in a state of emergency for weeks now. Taskforce GLM is helping people on the ground as we speak. We are supporting communities through displacement, lack of food and escalating tensions in this cold biting weather.

Our essential food packs contain enough items for a month, including:

We’re also providing emergency medicines, medical supplies,
hygiene, and dignity kits.

Help us provide families with the necessary resources to survive each day.

Support Refugees in Lebanon

Lebanon hosts the largest number of refugees in the world with 1.5 million Syrians and around 270,000 Palestinian refugees. But now with tensions rising in Lebanon, 200,000 people from Lebanon have fled into Syria and more are likely to follow them.

These refugees are at a serious risk of freezing to death or contracting illnesses in this frigid weather. Overcrowded camps with inadequate sanitation and heating facilities only add to their suffering.

Taskforce GLM is currently supporting displaced families in Nabatieh, Tyre, Bekaa, and Balbek, where the majority of families have sought refuge.

Help us provide emergency medicines, food packs and dignity kits to those who have lost everything.
