Gaza Water Crisis

For over 15 months, families have endured life without clean water in Gaza. It was not only the ever-present danger of airstrikes and ground invasions that made life a trial for displaced families in Gaza. It is also the daily struggle to find the most basic necessities like water for drinking, cooking and washing. With water wells destroyed and infrastructure in ruins, Gaza is currently not capable of supplying enough water for its 2 million inhabitants even after the ceasefire.

Can you imagine waking up each day and watching your children cry in thirst? Walking miles just to return with half-filled containers of water unsafe for human consumption?
Taskforce GLM is on the ground delivering life-saving water to families in dire need. For just £265, you can provide 7,000 litres of clean drinking water to help ease their suffering.

Your £265 will help deliver 7,000 litres of safe drinking water.

The Public Health Crisis due to Unsafe Water

The destruction of water facilities has led to widespread contamination of available resources and this has triggered an immediate and severe public health disaster.

Nearly 1.9 million people in Gaza are displaced who are living in overcrowded camps with poor sanitation. The scarcity of enough safe drinking water has led to the spread of waterborne diseases, malnutrition and dehydration especially among children.

Share a meal with us and deliver clean water to our brothers and sisters in Gaza facing unbearable circumstances. In addition to providing drinking water, these deliveries ensure families can maintain basic hygiene, perform wudu (ablution) for prayer, and have clean water for cooking.

The Strain on Displaced Families

As families are flee their homes in search of safety, they endure not only the trauma of displacement but also the continuous struggle to secure enough water to survive. Residents of Ga are dependent on broken small-scale desalination units, with many forced to walk miles and stand in long queues to receive a ration of water. Access to safe water is a fundamental human right and ensuring this right is fulfilled is an act of Sadaqah Jariyah.
