Select number of people paying Zakat al-Fitr:

Zakat al-Fitr ( also know as Fitrana), is a charitable donation of food that must be given before Eid prayer, before the end of the month of Ramadan, for the love of Allah (SWT).

Fitrana must be given by every self-supporting adult Muslim who has food in excess of their needs, on behalf of themselves and their dependants.

This has been calculated to £5 per per person.

Product Description

    • Zakat al-Fitr was made obligatory in the second year of Hijrah, the same year that fasting in Ramadan became obligatory.
    • The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) made Zakat al-Fitr compulsory on every Muslim, regardless of age, gender, or status.
    • The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of this charity, stating that it purifies the fasting person from any indecent acts or speech and provides food for the needy.
    • It is recommended to pay Zakat Al-Fitr for an unborn child because of what `Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) did, but it is not obligatory because there is no evidence to that effect.
