Hospitals across Gaza are overwhelmed. Years of blockade and the recent escalation have left medical facilities damaged, understaffed and critically short of equipment and supplies.
Power cuts lasting many hours a day mean doctors are forced to make life-saving decisions under extremely difficult conditions.
This is why Taskforce GLM has deployed mobile surgical theatres, bringing critical trauma care closer to those who desperately need it.
These mobile theatres allow doctors to carry out urgent operations and specialised treatment for patients who would otherwise have no access to life-saving care.
Among the most urgent needs are children who have suffered devastating limb injuries.
Without reconstructive surgery and prosthetic limbs, many will spend the rest of their lives unable to walk.
But through these mobile medical services, injured children can receive the treatment they need to begin rebuilding their lives.
A prosthetic limb does more than restore movement.
It restores confidence. Independence. The hope that a child can once again stand, walk and live with dignity.
And every step they take becomes a source of reward for those who helped make it possible.
